Prototype and complete original games for multiple platforms following the full game production pipeline
Austin Herrington has completed 3 original prototypes over the course of his time at UAT. Call Center Simulator was perhaps the most well known because of it's development with in UAT's Production Studio program. Austin developed the prototype alongside one other developer in early 2017. Likewise, Austin developed My Playable Portfolio as a solo developer, taking the game from concept to working prototype in just a few weeks. Most relevant to this objective though, is GigaBlast.
With GigaBlast Austin led a team of 17 developers in 2018's 48 hour Global Game Jam. He led design discussions, created an organizational structure and documentation, tasked the team and created a game that would go on to win local judging at the event. Austin has more than a year of experience leading SCRUM-focused projects as the director of Monster Vault Entertainment.
Monster Vault Entertainment will be releasing a finalized version of the game for free on Steam in 2018.
GigaBlast is a single-player virtual reality experience to be released on both the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive. Players will annihilate entire planets in this puzzle game being developed by Monster Vault Entertainment.
